Homework is good for you - God told me...

So whenever I want to do something great for God - it gets a little hard - I get homework.

So whenever I agree with another believer and take it up a level in living a holy life - I get homework.

Whenever I begin to bare my soul - seek the authentic lifestyle that our world craves for - I get homework.

I don't like homework - it takes time, it taxes my brain, it challenges my emotion.

But homework is good for you - God told me -you learn, you stretch, you grow, you develop so you can go places you've never gone before.

Theresa of Avila says you can't fly until you develop wings.
The pure in heart will see God - vision, comes from obedience, holiness.

Beam me up Scotty - if homework paves the way - let's go! Take a hike defamer!

Mystics and Outhouses and the Devil

Teresa of Avila, 16th century mystic, is sitting in an outhouse, eating a bran muffin, while meditating.

The devil, that slanderer, defamer that he is accuses her - "Here you are madame saint, saying your prayers in an outhouse, with a bran muffin - what do you think you're doing?!"

Teresa ("Let nothing disturb thee, nothing affright, all things are passing, alone God sufficeth") calmly replies:

The muffin is for me.
The prayers are my God.
All the rest is for you!

Mystics with spunk - rooted in life, soaring to the heights - take a hike defamer!

As we enter Holy week - thank God for the cross, God coming to earth, so that we might live for him and see heaven on earth, and that we may go to be with him - redeemed!!
